Lender Checklist
|
Mortgage lenders require their borrowers to provide them with a lot of information in order to make accurate lending decisions. For some, gathering all of the required information can be intimidating...but it doesn't need to be. The following checklist will help you prepare for your mortgage loan application/interview. This will enable the lender to process your application efficiently.
- Social Security Number(s)
- Residence
Residential addresses for the past two years
- Existing Mortgage(s)
Mortgage company name, address and mortgage account number(s)
- Employment
Names and addresses of employers for the past two years
- Income
One month of original pay stubs and last two years original W-2
(FHA/VA may need to be updated)
If self-employed or commissioned, business and personal tax returns for the past two years
(with all schedules) and a year-to-date profit and loss and balance sheet statement.
- Checking, Savings and Investment Accounts
Names, addresses, account numbers and approximate account balances
Last three months bank/savings account statements
- Installment and Revolving Debt
Names, addresses, account numbers, monthly minimum payment, balance
(including zero balance accounts)
- Legal Documents (if applicable)
Leases on rental property owned
Settlement statements (previously owned property, sale of business, etc…)
Copy of divorce decree (signed by Judge) or bankruptcy with release
Documentation of child support/alimony if received and using to qualify
Transcripts of recent graduation
- Purchase Agreement
Signed by both the Seller and Buyer (fully executed contract, including addendums)
Buyer Agency Agreement/Dual Agency Agreement
- VA Loan Eligibility
Certificate of eligibility if applying for VA loan
DD 214 (copy)
